Our VP
Ann Harris Denson
Ann was born in Washington, DC and grew up in
Old Town Alexandria, VA.
Forty six years ago she married Doug,
who was in the Army, we spent the next seventeen years moving from place to place, finally
settling in 1979 in Jonestown, PA.
They have three children, a step daughter; two grandsons; 4 step grandchildren and a great granddaughter and four step great grandchildren.
While attending her Aunt Kathleen's funeral in Clearfield, PA in 1997 I meet Sara Stephenson a cousin, who I credit with my turning into a genealogical monster, she gave me a lot of valuable information about our father's side of the family.
Sadly she passed away in 2005, the week before
she ask me to "keep it going".
In Sep 1998 she retired as the housing/billeting manager at Fort Indiantown Gap, PA and genealogy become my full time job "keeping it going".
Here mother's third great grandmother Ann Elder, d/o William and Sabrina Wickham Elder, married Daniel Delozier about 1773 in Maryland and moved to Cambria County, PA in the Spring of 1804.

I have always been curious about Genealogy
but really didn’t know where to start.
In 2000 an individual was hired at the company I worked at. His name, Mike Lilly, was put on his cubicle and when I saw his name I was very surprised! I had never found anyone else with the last name of Lilly except my small group of family members. I introduced myself to him; he asked me if I knew of any of my ancestors. I brought in a list of names my cousin’s mother had given me when I went to my Uncle Francis Lilly funeral in 1972. He recognized some of the names listed and thought perhaps we may have been distantly related. The next day at
work he gave me copies of original documents from Bardstown, Kentucky he
had obtained of his family.
One of the documents was John Humphrey
Lilly and Mary E. Moore’s marriage agreement. His family descended from Thomas Lilly, my family from John M. Lilly brothers who
left Maryland for Kentucky in 1800.
With this information I began searching the internet for my Lilly ancestors. During these searches I found people who knew about the William Elder book by Mary Louise Donnelly. I bought one for me and one for my cousin Mike Lilly and have purchased others by Mary Louise Donnelly since then. During my search
I have found information for all of John Humphrey Lilly’s children and my
Great Grandfather Benedict Joseph Flaget Lilly.
It has been fun communicating with other Lilly
